Most people who think they are right – are actually in error. Most people who believe they are better than others – are worse than them. Most people who judge others – are the ones who have most to be judged. Most people who consider themselves beautiful – are the most ugly of people. Most people who welcome changes – are the ones most keeping things from changing. Most people who believe they are free – are the ones most enslaved. Most people who have everything – are the ones who have nothing. Most people who believe they are good – are complicit in bad. Most people who believe they understand – are actually the most ignorant.
“If you obeyed most of those on earth, they would lead you astray from the path of God. They follow nothing but conjecture – and they themselves do only makes guesses” (Qur’an 6:115-116)
These things being true, we should not base our beliefs, politics and ethics on majorities but rather we should look objectively at the reality, to the determine what is truth and justice.
