Secularism on Trial – Should Religion be Separate from Government?

This event is a must-see for all those interested in observing the intense intellectual battle-ground between the proponents of a society without religion and those who hold that religion (in this case, Islam) holds a holistic and comprehensive solution for mankind, both in the private and public sphere. Further, the debate will discuss whether or not Western Ideology has failed to provide a solution for man’s public life, in harmony with man’s nature (fitrah).

Dan Barker, colleague of Richard Dawkins and avid campaigner for Secularism in American comes to the UK to debate Muslim speaker Abdullah al Andalusi on: ‘Should Religion be Separate from Government?’

Date: 29 November 2009
