I’d like to announce on this 9th day of Dhul-hijjah, the day of Arafah and forgiveness (Insha’Allah), that I have forgiven all misdeeds done against me – in the hope that Allah (SWT) will forgive me my sins, may Allah (SWT) have mercy me and upon all of us, ameen.
For anyone who’s ever committed any misdeed or wrong towards me, known or unknown, including injustice, broken a trust, backbitten, deprived me of something due, or of opportunity, even gotten physical and more, I bear witness to Allah (SWT) that I have released all of you from this weight.
I bear witness to Allah (SWT) that I have released all of you from this weight.
I bear witness to Allah (SWT) that I have released all of you from this weight.
For those of you who fear I wouldn’t forgive you had I known what you did, I’ve tried to imagine the worst wrong, and forgiven it. But if you need reassurance, you can DM me, whether you are friend, or we’re not on speaking terms. I promise you I will meet you all with welcome.
I, also, do hope that all those who I have wronged, hurt or done injustice towards in anyways, can extend the same to me.
I’m very far from perfect, and I’m constantly struggling to purify my heart and do and be a better Abid of Allah (SWT). We’re all not perfect as insaan, and we’re all facing different ‘demons’ (or triggers to recurring tests and challenges).
Once you realise that everyone in your life that was a test for you (as you were also a test for others), was put there on purpose by Allah (SWT) – you’ll realise that it is Allah (SWT) who is the source of all your experiences, and it was part of His wisdom to test you such.
PLEASE ALSO DO THE SAME AND FORGIVE OTHERS THIS 9TH DAY OF ARAFAH. DON’T MENTION YOU GOT THE IDEA FROM ANYONE, JUST DO IT, AND MAY ALLAH (SWT) FORGIVE YOU AS YOU HAVE FORGIVEN OTHERS, AMEEN.
For those who wronged you but are going to Jannah, their test to you was a mistake or flaw they struggled to overcome, but not who they truly were or maybe wanted to be. And on the day of judgement, they’ll see the error of their ways and eventually be cleansed by the hudoodh (pool) of the diseases in their hearts they weren’t able to overcome in their life.
For those who wronged you and who’s destination is Jahanaam, their character will condemn themselves without you, and their end is not going to be denied because you forgave them for some of their sins.
In either case, their debt to you isn’t worth your Jannah.
Allah (SWT) the Creator of all things, said:
وَلْيَعْفُوا وَلْيَصْفَحُوا ۗ أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
‘Let them pardon and overlook. Would you not love for Allah to forgive you? Allah is Forgiving and Merciful’
Surat An-Nur 24:22
وَإِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَآتِيَةٌ ۖ فَاصْفَحِ الصَّفْحَ الْجَمِيلَ
Verily, the Hour is coming, so forgive them with gracious forgiveness.
SuratAl-Hijr 15:85
And Allah said:
‘The believers are those who spend in charity during ease and hardship and who restrain their anger and pardon the people, for Allah loves the doers of good’
Surat Ali Imran 3:134
It was narrated that the Prophet Muhammed ﷺ:
ارْحَمُوا تُرْحَمُوا وَاغْفِرُوا يَغْفِرْ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ
‘Be merciful to others and you will receive mercy. Forgive others and Allah will forgive you’
