Religion is merely a set of beliefs regarding existence, values and laws. As such, everyone has a religion, and everyone involves a religion in politics. It just happens that people disagree as to which kind of religion should influence politics, ones with materialistic worldviews, or ones with spiritual worldviews. Consequently Secularism is not a neutral method of government between religions, but rather a preference for a materialist religion determining politics and public morality, over others.
